Color Management

When it comes to printing, clients ask us, “What printing process is best?” We tell them there are multiple factors to consider when printing any piece professionally.

Studio Pattern continues to knock it out of the ballpark. We give them an assignment and they come back with something that communicates exactly what we need in a way that wins awards. Most importantly, they don’t just make it look good, they make sure each project meets its business objectives first. And that goes for sweatshirts as much as corporate literature. I’d recommend Studio Pattern to anybody, but I’d rather keep them as my secret weapon in the war to break through the noise.

Studio Pattern never ceases to amaze me. Their design is always right on target and their attention to detail goes above and beyond. Ever since they helped us launch a new look and feel for our marketing collateral, we’ve received countless compliments from retail partners and even earned an award for one piece. To top it off, they’re just wonderful people to work with. You can’t ask for more than that.

I’ve been impressed with the depth to which Amy and her staff go to understand the intricacies of a project, its goals and audience to ensure the end piece is more than elegantly designed—it is truly functional, engaging and effective. The team effort really adds to project ROI.

What to Look for at a Press Check

Welcome to the second installment of the “things you probably didn’t learn in graphic design school” series. This post will cover what to look for when you go to the print house to check the quality of the piece. The press check is the last line of defense against a flawed print job that has to be trashed. Hopefully, if you paid attention to this post on the prepress process, your document was flawless as far as you knew. Do comment if there’s another topic you’d like to see up here. Once we officially launch, we should be providing new content more frequently on a range of design, illustration, typography, and print-related topics.
