If you drive down 14th Ave every day (like Brittany does), you might have noticed a new building pop up and open this summer—the Denver Police Crime Laboratory, at 14th and Cherokee. Zigzagging along its façade are organic window elements inspired by DNA helixes, as seen in the photo above.
If you’re anything like me, on any given day the intricacies of punctuation can seem completely fasinating or utterly mind-numbing. On one hand it’s a fantastic system of marks that adds meaning and organizes thoughts, and on the other hand it’s just a series of dots and squiggles. As an Illustrator and Designer (but mostly schooled as an Illustrator) I want to think of punctuation as dots and squiggles, but I need to know the rules and intricacies.
We are not strangers to the Software as a Service (SaaS) world. And there’s nothing that makes us happier than taking what looks like a confusing messy diagram and beating some sense into it.
